Installing wkhtmltopdf for SCERP PDF Exports

SCERP uses wkhtmltopdf to generate PDF documents. If PDF exports are not working, install wkhtmltopdf on your computer using the instructions below.

Windows

1. Download the Windows installer from the official download page.
2. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Open Command Prompt and run the following command to verify the installation:wkhtmltopdf --version

Linux (Ubuntu/Debian)

1. Download the appropriate package for your Linux distribution and system architecture from the official download page.
2. Install the downloaded .deb package:sudo apt install ./wkhtmltox*.deb
3. Verify the installation:wkhtmltopdf --version

Note: If the installation fails because of missing dependencies, install the required system libraries and try again.

macOS

1. Download the macOS installer from the official download page.
2. Open the downloaded installer and follow the installation instructions.
3. Open Terminal and verify the installation:wkhtmltopdf --version

Note: Check compatibility with your macOS version and processor, particularly on Apple Silicon Macs.

Troubleshooting

If the command is not recognized, ensure that the directory containing the wkhtmltopdf executable is included in your system’s PATH. Restart SCERP after installation and try exporting the PDF again.
